Located a short walk from the lovely Bexley Village you will find The Anchor which is a welcoming, traditional, family friendly pub serving good quality food and drinks to locals and passers by daily.
The Anchor makes a perfect summer spot with its very large garden where you can unwind with or without the children or even bring the dog (on a lead of course)! During the winter months it’s less about the garden and more about our traditional fireplace to keep you cosy with or without the red wine.
The Anchor is a pub steeped in history; it first opened in 1681 when it was know as the Anchor & Cable. It was in 1729 that the name was changed to the Blue Anchor, this name remained until 2010 when it was re-named The Anchor. However it was in 1927 that the pub was demolished and rebuilt on the opposite side of the road; it then reopened the following year.
The pub currently prides itself on delivering great food and fantastic service with some meals at 2 for £10 which offers great value for money. Most impressively we have our Diamond Club which offers fantastic food discounts as well as various other offers to over 50s. We also have a number of real ales on offer as well as a fine selection of wine and bubbly not to mention our choice of hot beverages and spirits.
We cater for birthday parties and other such occasions offering a buffet selection. Please also lookout for our upcoming events on our events and Facebook pages.
